on Jan 17th, Rashida and I got to see Emeli Sande live in concert, it was cold outside and we had to wait in line for a bit but it was worth it! Her voice is amazing and her songs have more depth than most popular artists. Definitely a great experience!

Nothing beats a failure but a try...

Well, after visiting this page again, I still think it's a really good idea and will attempt to post more. Whether this blog gets many or few page views, hopefully it can be a place where we can look back and see a bit of what we used to do with our time. So here is a recent picture, taken on the day we brought Rashida back to Concordia for the Spring Semester.

Part I: Family

We hope to present the highlights of our holiday trip in a few parts, in order of importance. Family, being the first.
Zahra, Shani, our Grandmother, Jamila, and Rashida are finally all together again after several years. It was very emotional and renewing to spend time with her. We sang songs for her, chatted away about anything, and just enjoyed being around her. It was very special...


Our cousin Treasure really looked forward to having us there. She spent a summer with us in NYC about a year ago, and we luv' runnin' around the country with her.


It's always a joy to see our dear Aunty Joy! =)







Aunty Sandra helped us make this trip a lifetime memory. Getting a 12-passenger van for us and our cousins and driving us allll over the place. It seemed like we drove up and down every hill and mountain in Jamaica. Potholes and all =)
